Whether you're coming from elsewhere on Scilly, or further afield in Devon or Cornwall, a day trip to Tresco is the perfect day out

Daytrips to Tresco

If you're staying elsewhere on Scilly, or perhaps a little further afield in Devon or Cornwall, a day trip to Tresco is the perfect day out. Here's our guide to crafting your perfect island day...

Tresco is the second largest island of the Scilly archipelago, a family-owned island with so much to offer. The island itself has a varied landscape, with soft, sandy beaches and rolling dunes progressing through to rugged, rocky coastlines and heather-clad downs. The island is two miles by one - it's a 'walking' island and can be circumnavigated on foot or by bike within a day, depending on fitness and mobility.

Tresco has a range of amenities for both daytrippers and overnight guests to enjoy - three eateries, a spa, a well-stocked grocery store, an art gallery, clothing boutique, as well as the world-famous Abbey Garden, and various historical sites including three ancient castles. You can hire bikes to explore the island (availability dependent), or hire kayaks, sailing dinghies and paddleboards to get out on the water.

If you're looking to visit us for more than a day, find information on our self-catering properties on our Staying page.
