There are two options to travel to the Isles of Scilly:
Fly on Skybus from Land’s End and Newquay all year round, and from Exeter in the summer months. If you are arriving by air you may book Tresco Transfers for £34 per person return. We'll meet you at St Mary's Airport and transfer you to St Mary's Quay for your short onward boat transfer to Tresco aboard one of our ferries or jetboats. You'll be met on Tresco and taken straight to your accommodation.
Sail on the Scillonian III passenger ferry from Penzance to St Mary’s. A boat from Tresco Boat Services will meet the Scillonian on arrival at St Mary's to transfer you to Tresco (payable onboard; cash only). Provided you have attached a blue Tresco label to each item of luggage on Penzance Quay your luggage will be transferred to this boat automatically. You will be met on arrival on Tresco and transferred to your cottage.

Tresco is a car free island, so your car will need to stay on the mainland.
If you are travelling by sea from Penzance you can leave your car in the secure car park with Scilly Parking who will drop you, your passengers and your luggage to the quay.
If you are travelling by air from Land's End Airport the airport parking is provided by Isles of Scilly Travel (£6.50 per day if booked in advance; otherwise £7.50 per day). Alternatively, Westwinds Car Park is located right next to the airport with parking from £4 per day.
If you are flying from Land's End Airport, Skybus offers a shuttle bus service between Penzance station and the airport. This can be booked and paid for at the same time as booking your Skybus tickets through Isles of Scilly Travel.
If you are travelling by sea from Penzance, the train station is approximately 10 minutes' walk from the quay, or you can hire a taxi.
We do all we can to make Tresco accessible for those with mobility difficulties. For specific information on any aspect of your travel or your stay with us, please contact the Island Office on +44 (0)1720 422849 or email us.
Please bear in mind that in order to get to Tresco, you will have to be able to board and disembark the Skybus plane unassisted, and you will need to be able to walk up and down the quay steps when traveling by boat.
There is no public transport provision on Tresco and the main methods of transport are walking or cycling. For those with limited mobility, we do have a limited number of wheelchairs, golf buggies and mobility scooters to hire , but advance booking is essential. Please contact the Island Office for further details.
Please contact the Island Office the day before departure to check your boat time. Our Transport Team will collect you (and your luggage) from your cottage, usually between 15 - 30 minutes before your scheduled boat time.

If they are not flying due to technical problems, they will arrange for a new aircraft to take you to your destination as soon as possible. If they are not flying due to bad weather, Skybus will still require you to check in as normal. Once flying resumes things can move very quickly, due to the number of aircraft at Skybus’ disposal. It is for this reason that you will need to check in as normal and be on St Mary’s. You will be kept informed by the Island Office when on Tresco and by Skybus staff once on St Mary’s. If in the unfortunate event that the weather has not improved by the early afternoon, Skybus may decide to transfer their air passengers to the Scillonian passenger ferry. This departs for Penzance at 4.30pm between March and the end of October.
Coming to Tresco:
You will be kept informed at your airport regarding the delays. Skybus may make the decision to transport you by road to another airport to connect with an alternative flight to the Isles of Scilly. On occasion you may be given the option to travel on the Scillonian passenger ferry the following day from Penzance. Should you choose to do this, Skybus will transport you to Penzance and assist you with finding overnight accommodation. We require all passengers to have full travel insurance, including cover for domestic travel delays caused by weather.
