The Flying Boat Café & Deli
Drop in through the day for laidback brunches, local bakes and Origin Coffee, or join us for Tresco tapas small plates, aperitifs and organic wine as the sun sinks into the ocean…
Start the day with fresh pastries and Bryher Bakes or an irresistible bacon brioche bap, an Abbey Garden mint tea, a fresh fruit smoothie or Cornish Origin coffee.
For a leisurely brunch, explore our seasonal and locally-sourced menu; think baked St Ewe eggs with tomato and rose harissa ragu or Charlotte potato, pea and ham hock hash. There’s no need to book during the day; choose a spot on our suntrap terrace or enjoy the breathtaking sea views from inside.
The view comes into its own as the sun sets, casting a golden glow over the channel, the perfect setting for our casual evening offering.
During the height of summer, we're open three evenings each week for a Cornish tapas selection of small plates, aperitifs and organic wines, with a menu that changes according to what the seasons and our suppliers deliver.
We’d suggest booking ahead to enjoy the tapas-style evening menu, which might include Newlyn mackerel on rye with sweet and sour beetroot and lime, chargrilled Cornish purple sprouting broccoli with balsamic reduction and shaved Cornish Yarg and tempting Cornish cheese sharing boards.
All with that perfect backdrop of the shimmering sunset on the sea...

Booking with Us
There's no need to book ahead for daytime; there's plenty of space inside and in our courtyard garden.
Booking is strongly advised for evenings, although you're always welcome to pop in and see if we have space available or to join us just for an aperitif as the sun goes down.
You can see our full table booking terms and conditions below.
Our menus change according to what the seasons and our suppliers deliver, but here's a taster...
Table Booking Terms
Reservations are exclusively for guests dining with us; if you would like to enjoy just our drinks menu, you are welcome to come along, subject to table availability.
You can book online for up to 6 people; for more, please call us. We cannot accept additional party members in the comments box. We recommend you call or email to make multiple bookings.
Please let us know when booking if you have any dietary requirements.
If you are staying with us on Tresco, please let us know where you are staying.
We take indoor bookings only, but you're welcome to move outside if there's a table free when you arrive. Dogs are welcome on the terrace but not inside, so if you're bringing a dog, you'll be unable to book ahead.
If you're running late, please call ahead, and we'll try to hold your table. While we can't guarantee to do so for longer than 15 minutes, we'll do our best to work something out."
