Tresco winters are an intimate affair, a time to reconnect with the island and discover it at its wind-blown, salt-kissed, natural best.
The recently-renovated New Inn is the perfect home-from-home; its warm and welcoming atmosphere is the cosy heart of island winters.
Head out to walk the island's coastline and woodlands; we've even got Rockfish wellies on hand to save your luggage allowance. Warm your toes in an armchair by the fire in the Sleepers' Lounge, or take a moment with a good book and a warming tipple in the Driftwood Bar. Enjoy hearty suppers from head chef Liam Caves' island-inspired menu in front of the roaring Pavilion log burner.
Switch off with lazy laps of the indoor pool at Tresco Island Spa, just along the harbour front, or marvel at the Abbey Garden, which is still blooming and beautiful during the winter months. You'll enjoy unlimited access to both throughout your stay.
When night falls, snuggle down in your room with its super king bed, walk-in rain shower, proper coffee and selected teas, cosy underfloor heating, 100 Acres shower products, Smart TV, Roberts Radio and WiFi.
The Break
Throughout November and December 2023 and February 2024, our 'Winter Warmer' four-night break is just £395 per person based on two sharing, including:
- Four nights' Bed & Breakfast accommodation at The New Inn in the best available room
- Entry to Tresco Abbey Garden and the Island Spa throughout your stay
- On-island shuttle bus to your accommodation (transfers from St Mary's for Skybus passengers at additional cost, payable locally)
A supplement of £70 applies to single occupancy.

Winter on Tresco
Tresco is open throughout the year, and the winter is a wonderfully wild and peaceful time on the island. Through the winter, parts of the island will be hibernating or operating on reduced winter hours.
The New Inn will be open Thursday evening, all day and evening Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but will be closed the rest of the week. Tresco Island Spa and Tresco Stores will be open on reduced winter hours. Tresco Abbey Garden will be open, but the Garden Café & Shop will be closed.
The Ruin Beach Café, Flying Boat Café & Deli, Lucy-Tania Boutique, Gallery Tresco and the Sea Garden Pool will be closed.
