Perhaps you've been coming to Tresco for many years or maybe you're new to the island? One thing is for sure, it's a special treat to experience the island with your canine companion. This October, we are opening up our self-catering apartments and cottages to dogs and below are our top tips for making the most of an island stay alongside your four-legged friend.
For more information about bringing your dog to Tresco, take a look at the canine contract.
Start your day by watching the sunrise
Wake to the sound of the sea and seize the day with a walk to watch the sunrise. Walk along the eastern coast of the island with your dog on the lead and then let them run on Pentle Bay as the sun rises up from behind St Martin's and the Eastern Isles. Why not pack a flask of tea and coffee and sit for a while...

Go for an ocean dip
Although it might be hard to believe sometimes, October's sea temperatures aren't that cold! Dogs are free to roam on Appletree, Pentle, Bathinghouse Porth and Gimble Porth beaches so choose your favourite and brave the water. You won't regret it and perhaps your dog will love the exhilarating too!

Walk the coast
With breath-taking views, varied terrain and a few miles to cover, why not walk the entire coast of the island. Starting from your cottage, explore the north end, eastern tree-lined coast, southern tip, Appletree bay and New Grimsby sound. A sure-fire way to get to know the island - for both you and your dog!
Book your stay now
With wide-open spaces, sandy beaches, and miles of coastal paths to explore this October, the island is a paradise for both pets and their people...
