The island becomes part of me again and things happen very naturally in Tresco time and on the islands terms, bliss. During this trip I was treated to constantly changing weather and a little bit of everything. I hope that I captured a little bit of Tresco time for you.
Being a plein air painter I often have a strategy depending on weather and time of day. It is like a game: sheltering behind rocks on the beach, racing back before the rain really sets in and rushing out as the sun appears for its last farewell at sunset.
I found myself producing a mixed bag of work from turquoise seas to misty, moisty mornings, watching the Blockhouse appear and disappear in that mystical yellow light that sometimes pervades the island.
