As a plein air painter I have cycled and walked the island many times on my visits to Tresco and have found hidden and enchanting views to paint. I have become familiar with the light, shadows, tides and winds that visit the island. When I am painting I observe the ebb and flow of visitors that arrive on the ferries at the quay along with the quieter moments on sunny corners and windswept beaches.
