From here, you can wander down to The New Inn for supper, call into Gallery Tresco, or head to New Grimsby quay for boats, gig racing and the gentle comings and goings of harbour life.

Inside, Hilltop is homely and relaxed, with a snug lounge and log burner creating a warm place to return to after a day outdoors. The kitchen keeps the cottage’s simple, traditional feel, making it an easy base for family breakfasts, beach picnics and quiet evenings in.

The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms. Downstairs, the master bedroom has a spacious ensuite bathroom, while two upstairs bedrooms look out across the courtyard garden and the lane beyond. Flexible zip-linked beds can be arranged as superking or twin by prior request, giving the layout useful flexibility for families or friends sharing.

Outside, the back garden is Hilltop’s real treasure. A wide sweep of lawn gives children room for games and cartwheels, while borders of hydrangeas, lilies and succulents bring colour, bees and butterflies through the warmer months. It is a lovely place for barbecues, slow afternoons in the sun or a quiet cup of coffee before the day begins.
