The ultimate cosy cottage tucked away at picturesque Old Grimsby. One of the island’s best beaches, Green Porth, is just across the road.
Low ceilings and an exposed granite wall create an unmistakeably homely feel as soon as you enter the property – sink into the enveloping corner sofa and stoke up the log burner to ward off rainy days. When the sun’s out, bask in the lawned garden – encircled by hedgerows sprinkled with colourful flowers, this private space begs for barbecues.
With a bunkroom downstairs perfect for younger residents and two bedrooms upstairs, Green is well set up to cater for a young family.
Cross the road to the echium-lined path onto Green Porth – its white sand stretches from a cluster of cottages at one end to Blockhouse Castle at the other. Follow the watery channels across wet sands at low tide for a paddle.
The Ruin Beach Café is just minutes away – take a coffee break on its glorious sun terrace or enjoy a wood fired pizza for dinner.
