The Cottage
This is a cottage with a lovely sense of calm. Greenery spills along the path as you arrive, while the garden opens towards the water beyond - reeds, ripples, birds and sky shifting gently through the day. It feels wonderfully removed, yet the island’s central comforts are all close at hand, from Tresco Stores and the Island Office to the Flying Boat Café & Deli and nearby outdoor pool.
Inside, Curlew is bright, spacious and easy to live in. The three bedrooms are tucked towards the back of the cottage, leaving the front of the house open to the view. Here, a generous kitchen, dining and sitting space forms the heart of the cottage, with picture windows and patio doors drawing in light from the garden and Great Pool beyond. High ceilings and exposed beams add a relaxed farmhouse feel, giving the room space, warmth and character.
Outside, the garden is made for quiet island moments: breakfast in the morning sun, children playing on the grass, or an evening drink as the water catches the last of the light. On sunny days, Flood Hatch beach is just minutes away, while the outdoor pool offers an easy place for a swim before lunch. When the weather turns softer, the cosy snug at the Flying Boat Café is close enough for coffee, cake and a slower afternoon.
Comfortable, central and quietly tucked away, Curlew is a lovely island home-from-home for those who want open views, easy living and the gentler rhythm of Tresco’s countryside.
The Location
On sunny days you’ll be spoilt for choice with a tempting outdoor pool and the sweeping sands of Flood Hatch beach both within minutes of the front door. If it’s overcast, spend a restful afternoon at the nearby Flying Boat Cafe & Deli – its cosy snug beckons you to treat yourself to a hot chocolate.

Our cottages are well-equipped with a comprehensive inventory, which includes kitchen appliances and equipment, bathrobes, hair dryers, and an outdoor BBQ with tools. Bathrooms come complete with 100 Acres shampoo, body wash and hand soap.
This property comes equipped with a dishwasher. There is no washing machine at the property, however laundry facilities are available centrally with a small cost payable per load.
Very sweet cottage, beautiful views with a very nice outlook. The swimming pool outdoors was wonderful! A real bonus having it just across the path.
