All creatures great and small
As part of Caring for God's Green Acre, the churchyard was full of people on Monday to discover what thrives at St Nicholas
Thank you to everyone who came along to St Nicolas' last week to help beekeeper Jilly survey our churchyard. Jilly - along with Rachel, Brett, Bruno and Charlie - have worked really hard to make this space special, clearing lots of space to let graves shine through and encouraging wild flowers to grow.
As part of our Silver Eco Church status, we strive to keep track of what is thriving in our sacred space so Jilly encouraged people to use the iNaturalist app to record what they saw. There were lots of bumble bees about as well as a plethora of other creepy crawlies!
As you can see from the pictures above, the space is in full bloom and looking so colourful at the moment. When you're next passing by St Nicholas', be sure to have a wander round, pay your respects, and see what you can spot in the grasss.
