Our talented team of therapists from both Tresco Island Spa and Hell Bay Hotel Treatment Shed traversed the seas to St Martin's yesterday in order to meet Ella McLachlan, founder of seaweed skincare brand Phoenix & Providence. It was a gloriously sunny May day and Ella met the team at Lower Town Quay in order to lead them along to campsite beach and talk them through her process. She pointed out the bladder wrack seaweed that she uses in her products and then explained her drying, infusing and bottling methods.
Our team have been using Ella's products for several years now so it was wonderful for them to learn more about the brand. Our treatment rooms are often filled with the aromas of Ella's luxurious seaweed oils and witnessing their journey from sandy shore to studio to spa was amazing. What's more, finding out about Ella's inspiration and her ambition for the brand was fantastic - with our crystal clear Scillonian waters and the seaweed that is found in them, the sky is the limit!
