Teresa Pemberton

Combining still life objects with a hinterland of sea or landscape has always been a favourite subject and this year I have experimented with nature's objects of flowers, fruit and vegetables against those special blues of Scilly. I love the early flowers and hence narcissus hold a special contrast against cool blues. Then there are the warmer colours of sunny days when the rocks hold a variety of red and pink and orange hues, which seem to seep into the sandy shores. The multi-coloured rocks are exaggerated by the soft showers of rain or the lapping tides.
