Wildlife Walks with Will Wagstaff
Explore the wild side of Tresco at a relaxed pace with Scilly's resident ornithologist and naturalist, Will Wagstaff
Tresco is abundant in its wonderful wild- and bird-life, from tame Song Thrushes and House Sparrows, which nowadays have become rare in mainland habitats, to migrants stopping off to refuel during their long journey. It’s also a great place for botanists due to its huge variety of plant species.
Our nature walks are the perfect opportunity for a leisurely stroll around Tresco with expert guide Will Wagstaff who will help nurture an appreciation that there are still some wild places in the world where one can relax and enjoy the moment.
Taking place on Wednesday 12th May 2021 and Wednesday 16th June 2021, the walks offer a choice of half-day or full-day excursion, departing at 10 am and 1:30 pm from Smith Square. The walks cost £8 per walk or £14 for those wishing to join in both the morning and afternoon sessions. Please pre-book your place through the Island Office, as spaces are limited.
Please be aware that although you don’t cover more than approximately two miles per walk it is a long period of time on your feet.
