Our timeshare programme was launched almost 40 years ago, giving guests the opportunity to select a particular week in their chosen cottage and return to it annually for 30 years. Since inception, more than 1,500 families have bought an average of two weeks on this beautiful island. Often, timeshares are bought and passed down from one generation to the next. As a Tresco timeshare owner, you are a valued guest who has made a long-term commitment to be part of our island community. Everyone on the Estate is dedicated to ensuring your stay here is happy and relaxing, year after year.

Our unique guarantee

Timeshares are bought with the peace of mind of the island’s unique buy-back guarantee. The Tresco Island Estate guarantees to buy your timeshare back any time after four years and before 15 years for the full purchase price, without any deductions. Please refer to the separate price and availability list for the up-front cost for each available week, as well as the annual service charge. Moreover, the Tresco Estate is happy to extend older timeshare agreements back to 30 years at any time, to enable the buy-back guarantee to remain in place.

A limited number of cottages and weeks are available for timeshare ownership. Our cottages sleep from two to 10 people and you are able to choose from traditional island cottages to more contemporary beach-front properties. All the island’s timeshare properties are beautifully furnished, contain original artworks and have WiFi connectivity and satellite television. All our cottages are uniquely designed and have varying configurations. A number of houses have ground floor bedrooms.

Our characterful, traditional properties are scattered across the island and range from picturesque former fishermen’s cottages and artists’ studios to large detached houses.

Our more contemporary beachfront properties can be found at the Flying Boat at New Grimsby and at the Sea Garden Cottages at Old Grimsby.

After Christmas and New Year, it helps us get through grey, drab days of January knowing that we will be off to Tresco at the end of February. Often when we are on the island, we enjoy bright sunny days admiring the spring flowers that have yet to make an appearance on the mainland. For us, our annual stay on Tresco marks the start of spring.
