Nautilus
Set on its own rocky promontory on Tresco’s eastern edge, Nautilus feels quietly set apart - with nothing between its windows and the open sea but the rocky foreshore.

The Cottage
From Nautilus, the view stretches out towards the uninhabited isles and Round Island Lighthouse, ever-changing, often mesmerising, and always close.
The cottage is turned deliberately towards that horizon. Upstairs, a light-filled living space opens out to wide picture windows and a sweeping balcony shaped around the rock, drawing you into the view from the moment you arrive. Below, the bedrooms sit tucked in and calm, opening onto decking that wraps the house and catches the sun from first light onwards.
Inside, it’s quietly luxurious - oak floors, underfloor heating, original artwork and carefully chosen details - but never at the expense of ease. It’s a place to settle into: long mornings watching the sea shift and change, doors left open, the outside always present.
Sleeping eight, Nautilus suits families or friends sharing time together, with three flexible bedrooms that can be arranged as superkings or twins, and a generous living space above that brings everyone together without crowding. A sofa bed is available on request for larger groups.
Outside, the house finds its rhythm. The east-facing decking catches the first light of the day - coffee at dawn, the water still and silver - but is equally made for lingering, whether over a long lunch or something simple as evening draws in. The sense of being surrounded by sea is constant, and quietly absorbing.
The Location
The surrounding sea views evoke seclusion, tranquillity and the impression of having the island all to oneself. Yet, despite that feeling, everything is close at hand. The Sea Garden Spa sits just moments away, as does the Ruin Beach Café - an easy wander when you feel like rejoining the island for a while.
But it’s the setting that stays with you - the sense of standing slightly apart, held by the elements, with the island unfolding gently behind and the Atlantic stretching out ahead.
