The Garden Café
Sitting on the fringe of Tresco Abbey Garden, the Garden Café is perfect for a morning coffee, light lunch or afternoon cream tea.
The Garden Visitor Centre & Café is open every day, and throughout October will be serving a selection of hot and cold drinks and cakes. You can find our opening times below.
We are currently able to offer outdoor seating only, in our sheltered courtyard. Please note that in compliance with COVID-secure guidelines, anyone eating with us must be seated at a table and the maximum table size is six people. You will need to wear a face-covering until seated at your table and provide details for NHS Test & Trace.
Please note: the information below refers to our usual operation and some services and facilities may differ under the current circumstances. Thank you for your understanding.
The Garden Café sits at the entrance to the Abbey Garden but many visit just to enjoy a refreshment or light bite on a walk around the island, or to browse our range of gifts, souvenirs, plants and fresh produce.
Featuring comfortable indoor seating and a sheltered suntrap courtyard on the fringes of the Abbey Garden, the Café is perfect to relax, unwind and watch the world - or the Red Squirrel families - go by.
Enjoy a morning coffee, or choose from our wide selection of teas served with delicious freshly baked scones for your cream tea in the afternoon.
Our kitchen uses locally sourced foods and fresh vegetables, salads and fruits picked from our very own Tresco Abbey Garden, to create a seasonally varying lunch menu. The choice of freshly prepared light lunches includes fresh homemade vegetarian soup, a selection of sandwiches including cornish ham and local crab, homemade quiches, smoked mackerel pate, ploughman’s lunch served with a selection of cornish cheeses, local chutney, and crisp salad from our garden.
A large selection of gluten free foods including bread, soup and cakes is readily available.
