Drive or take the train from anywhere in the UK, or connect via regional flights from a range of UK and European destinations - including Scotland, the North of England, Germany and France - before continuing your onward journey to the Isles of Scilly.
By Road & Rail
If you’re travelling from elsewhere in the UK, Penzance Helicopters offers the fastest and most convenient onward connection to the islands by road or rail. Once you arrive in Penzance, Tresco is just a spectacular 15-minute direct flight away.
By car: Penzance is around a five-hour drive from London. The heliport is located just off the A30 and offers a spacious on-site car park for easy arrivals and departures.
By rail: Great Western Railway runs direct services from London to Penzance, including the Night Riviera sleeper. There are also direct connections from the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland. From Penzance railway station, the heliport is just a couple of minutes away by complimentary electric shuttle bus.
From Penzance, you can also travel by sea aboard Scillonian III (approximately 2 hours 45 minutes), or continue by road to Land's End Airport - around a 20-minute drive - for Skybus flights to the islands.
By Air
Whether you’re travelling from within the UK or overseas, connecting to the Isles of Scilly by air is straightforward.
Skybus operates year-round flights from Cornwall Airport Newquay and summer-season flights from Exeter Airport, both of which offer a wide range of UK and European connections.
You can connect via airports including London, Aberdeen, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cork, Dublin, Leeds, Norwich, Amsterdam, Paris, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. The onward Skybus flight to the Isles of Scilly takes approximately 30 minutes from Newquay and around one hour from Exeter. After landing on St Mary’s, a short minibus transfer and boat crossing will bring you to Tresco.
