Following on from a brilliant 2025 event, trade winter worries for warm island moments with Autumn Tide Festival. As the seasons ebb and flow and autumn settles in, Autumn Tide is your invitation to savour the richness of harvest, the calm of cooler days, and the joy of gathering. Bathe in the October sunshine, feast on island fare, and linger by the fire as the evenings draw in.

From garden strolls to sandbar walks and immersive experiences in our remarkable landscape, each day brings something new to discover. The New Inn will sit at the heart of the Festival, with opportunities to meet our island producers, savour seasonal specials, taste a range of guest ales, and join locals for a yarn about island life.

Led by islanders, artisans, and nature lovers, the programme promises something for every soul: tuck into freshly caught seafood, sip locally brewed spirits, take an invigorating dip in the sea, or unwind to the sounds of live island music.

Autumn is a rich and magical time on the Isles of Scilly. Golden light, illuminated bracken and occasional whipping winds and bracing seas make for dramatic island discovery and satisfying evenings spent by the log burner.

We wanted to celebrate the beauty of this time of year and the culture, history and food that makes Scilly so special. Thus, Autumn Tide Festival was born. A chance to get to know the archipelago on a deeper level; an opportunity to soak up sunny days before the winter settles.

From garden tours and shipwreck talks to drawing classes and boat trips, Autumn Tide Festival was the perfect example of the talent and passion for Scilly that lies on our shores. Punctuated by low tide rambles and feasts cooked on The New Inn grill, there was a wonderful buzz about the island throughout the week. Locals were shocked at the stories they had never heard and guests left feeling they were part of the island community.

Now the celebration has come to an end, we are ready to ease into the winter and cannot wait for October next year where more yarns will be spun, secrets will be uncovered and delicious autumn harvest will be devoured.
