Reservations Supervisor - Hell Bay Hotel
Hell Bay Hotel is looking for a personable and guest-focused Reservations Supervisor to support our front-of-house team on the idyllic island of Bryher.

Department: Hell Bay Hotel
Salary: From £13.10 per hour, dependent on experience
Benefits: Accommodation and all meals provided
Hours: 40-45 hours per week, with 2 days off
Contract Length: Seasonal, February - November (dates can be flexible) with the potential to become permanent
The Role
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the hotel reservation system, ensuring all bookings are input correctly, including billing information and managing reservations to optimise occupancy. You will assist with supervising the reservations team, including training.
Co-ordination will be required with housekeeping and maintenance teams, to ensure suites meet the highest standard.
Guest facing duties will form an integral part of the role, with required duties including welcoming and checking guests in and out, responding to emails, assisting with general queries and providing information regarding boat trips, local knowledge and informing guests of travel arrangements and pick up times.
Day to day tasks will include undertaking administration and secretarial duties, processing shop transactions and hotel banking, listening to guest baby monitors in the evening, and keeping the office clean and tidy.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in hospitality or a reservations-related role
- Must have a polite and friendly manner
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities
- Able to work well as part of a team as well as alone
- Should have excellent customer service skills that can be evidenced
- Must have English fluency and the ability to converse easily with a wide range of people, both in writing and verbally
- Will be self-motivated with a proven ability to work in an organised and efficient manner
- Should have the ability to remain calm and professional in busy and high-pressure situations
- Must have ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Access
