Marine Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Marine Engineer to take responsibility for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial boats.

The Role
In this hands-on role, you will be working on all types of engines and drives, including jet drives. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing steel hulls, aluminium hulled RHIB’s, GRP hulls, inboard diesels, outboard motors and conventional shaft drives. You will also ensure all associated electrical, electronic, hydraulic and control systems and equipment are maintained.
Customer interaction will be an integral part of this role, in the form of collecting mooring fees and organising visiting yachts. Additionally, you will be required to marshall and ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times on our quays.
Care for private company vessels will be required, as well as assisting with boat storage, launch and recovery.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Must have a clean, valid UK driving licence (essential)
- Must have proven experience in marine engineering (essential)
- Adaptable, conscientious, tidy and thorough in their work
- Capable of diagnosis, fault finding, scheduling and carrying out repairs
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (customer interaction will be required)
- Be well-versed on relevant Health and Safety guidelines and regulations
- Telehandler licence (desirable)
- Power Boat driving experience (desirable)
