Lighthouse Cottage

Perched above the white sands of Raven’s Porth, Lighthouse Cottage is a bright, generous beach house with direct access to the shore and captivating views across Old Grimsby, St Martin’s and the island-dotted water beyond.

At A Glance

This is a cottage for sea-facing days from beginning to end. Wake to sunrise over the Eastern Isles, wander down to the beach before breakfast, then let the day unfold between swimming, sailing, paddleboarding, long lunches at The Ruin Beach Café and evenings gathered around the garden firepit. With the Sailing School, Green Porth, Sea Garden facilities and north-end paths all close by, Lighthouse places the best of Old Grimsby beautifully within reach.

Inside, the house is light, open and wonderfully sociable. Downstairs, the kitchen and dining room form an easy heart to the cottage, with an island breakfast bar for coffee, conversation and post-beach grazing. Doors open from both the kitchen-diner and sitting room to outdoor spaces on either side, making the house feel connected to the garden, the bay and the changing light throughout the day.

The sitting room is relaxed and beachy, with a log burner for cooler evenings and plenty of space to settle in after time on the water. A hallway, utility and shower room lead through to the snug - a useful retreat for children, films, games or additional sleeping space when needed.

Upstairs, Lighthouse makes the most of its remarkable position. The master bedroom is a true highlight, with a vaulted ceiling, full-height doors, a private balcony and breathtaking sea views from the bed across the harbour. Its ensuite bathroom brings its own quiet indulgence, with a bath positioned for long soaks as the evening light moves across the bay.

The second and third bedrooms also enjoy beautiful sea views, with the third bedroom opening onto its own private balcony - a lovely place for a morning coffee before the house wakes. The fourth bedroom looks towards the landscaped rear garden and open countryside beyond, offering a softer, greener outlook. All four bedrooms are ensuite, making Lighthouse particularly well suited to larger families or friends sharing.
