The Cottage
The heart of the cottage is its long, open-plan living space - an airy stretch of kitchen, dining and sitting room designed for relaxed time together. Windows frame glimpses of sea and sky throughout, before the room opens towards the wider view across Old Grimsby, drawing the light and landscape right into the cottage. It is a wonderfully sociable space for slow breakfasts, beach-day suppers and cosy evenings by the log burner as the light shifts over the water.
Outside, the patio is bordered by greenery and flowers, with space to sit back, barbecue, read in the sun or simply look out towards the sea. From here, the rhythm of Old Grimsby is wonderfully close: The Ruin Beach Café for long lunches, Hut62 Boat Hire on the shoreline below, the tennis court just beside the cottage and the indoor pool nearby for quieter moments after a day outdoors.
Flotsam sleeps up to eight, with three double or twin bedrooms and a separate TV room with double sofa bed available on request. Flexible zip-linked beds can be arranged as superking or twin by prior request, while an ensuite bathroom and separate shower room make the layout practical for families or friends sharing.
Light, easy and beautifully placed, Flotsam is a relaxed coastal base for those who want sea views, space to gather and the best of Old Grimsby just moments from the door.

Our cottages are well-equipped with a comprehensive inventory, which includes kitchen appliances and equipment, bathrobes, hair dryers, and an outdoor BBQ with tools. Bathrooms come complete with 100 Acres shampoo, body wash and hand soap.
This property comes equipped with a dishwasher. There is no washing machine at the property, however laundry facilities are available centrally with a small cost payable per load.
