Farmhouse

This is a house made for big family holidays. Lawns and lush borders wrap around the cottage, giving children room to play, grown-ups quiet corners to retreat to, and everyone space to spread out after days on the beach. Inside, Farmhouse has that lovely sense of an old island home: generous rooms, tucked-away bedrooms, corridors, staircases and corners that give the house character, privacy and a natural rhythm of its own.

The kitchen and dining space is bright and sociable, made for long breakfasts, holiday suppers and gathering around the table at the end of the day. Light fills the conservatory, creating a gentle place for morning coffee, reading or watching the garden through the glass, while the inviting lounge, with its window seating and log burner, offers a cosy refuge after sea swims, island walks or a bottle of wine shared over supper.

Farmhouse sleeps ten across five bedrooms, making it well suited to larger families or friends holidaying together. The master bedroom is arranged as a superking, with four further bedrooms usually set as twins; all beds are zip-linked and can be arranged as superking or twin by prior request. Three bathrooms, including two ensuites, and a separate WC make the house practical as well as spacious.

The setting is both central and quietly open. From the cottage, views stretch across gardens and countryside towards the Atlantic and the uninhabited island of Samson, while Tresco Stores, the Island Office, Spa and outdoor pools are all just moments away. Flood Hatch beach is close by for sea swims and low-tide adventures, and the Abbey Garden is an easy cycle from the gate.
