This is a cottage made for gathering. With room for up to ten guests, expansive living spaces and a collection of outdoor terraces and balconies, Abalone has a sense of occasion from the moment you arrive. 

The Sea Garden indoor pool, Jacuzzi and sauna are just footsteps away, while The Ruin Beach Café, Ravens Porth and the paths around Old Grimsby are all close enough to shape the rhythm of each day.

Inside, Abalone’s upside-down layout makes the most of its position and outlook. The living space is arranged to embrace the views, with comfortable sofas, a log burner and doors opening onto a sunny terrace above the water. Upstairs, the kitchen and dining space sits at the heart of the cottage, with views towards Ravens Porth on one side and Men-a-Vaur on the other, and a generous outdoor dining terrace leading straight from the dining room.

The bedrooms extend in both directions from this central space, giving the cottage a natural sense of flow and privacy. The master bedroom is a particular highlight, with its own balcony and views you may find hard to leave behind, while the second bedroom opens onto a sheltered rear terrace with table and chairs, wrapped in subtropical planting. Three further bedrooms and a double sofa bed available on request offer flexible space for families or friends holidaying together, with two ensuite bathrooms and a further bathroom making Abalone well suited to larger groups.

Outside, Abalone offers a space for every part of the day: morning coffee on the master balcony, quiet shade among the planting, lazy afternoons on the sun terrace, and long suppers on the dining terrace as the light softens over Old Grimsby.

Find a less-frequented Tresco outlook by following the ‘secret’ path between the cottage and the indoor pool - Merchant’s Point provides a fantastic vista along the north-east coast and out across St. Martin’s and a scattering of islets in between.
