The Garden Café & Shop
On the fringe of Tresco Abbey Garden, the Garden Café & Shop offers morning coffee and cake, light lunches and leisurely cream teas, as well as thoughtful gifts.
Please note: Following Storm Goretti, Tresco Abbey Garden is currently closed for a short period while our teams clear storm damage and ensure the Garden is safe for visitors.
We’re looking forward to welcoming guests back for the 2026 season from early March. The Garden Café & Shop will reopen from Saturday 14th March 2026, with the Garden itself reopening shortly beforehand.
The Garden Café rests at the gateway to the Abbey Garden, but many drop by simply for a well-earned pause - a refreshing drink, a light bite mid-stroll, or a browse through our collection of thoughtful gifts, homegrown plants, and locally sourced produce from the islands and Westcountry.
With light, airy indoor seating or the sheltered, sunlit courtyard to choose from, it’s the perfect spot to relax, soak in the birdsong, and perhaps catch sight of the resident red squirrels as they scurry by.
Start your day with a morning coffee and a slice of cake, or enjoy a light lunch featuring seasonal soup or freshly made sandwiches and salads. In the afternoon, take your time over a traditional cream tea with freshly baked scones and a pot of tea or Abbey Gardebn fresh leaf infusion.
