Tresco Moorings
New Grimsby Sound and Old Grimsby Harbour offer excellent deep-water moorings for visiting yachts and cruisers, providing a peaceful and well-sheltered base from which to enjoy Tresco.
The mooring fee is £30 per night, which includes refuse disposal and fresh water. Moorings are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance. Payment can be made at The New Inn, The Ruin Beach Café, the Island Office on Tresco, or directly to the harbour team on the water.
Facilities at New Grimsby Quay include drinking water, waste disposal and toilets. Showers are available at the Tresco Cottage Department, located near the Island Office.
Please note that diesel and petrol are not available for purchase on Tresco; fuel is available at St Mary’s Quay.
Anchoring is not permitted within 100 metres of any quay on Tresco or Bryher. Drying out on any Tresco beach is also prohibited without prior permission. Please be aware that wash is to be expected in the vicinity of quays. No responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage incurred in these areas.
The Harbour team can be contacted by email or on 07778 601237 between 0730 and 1800, Monday to Friday. In an emergency, this number may be used at any time.
