Gardener
We require an experienced and enthusiastic gardener to maintain the grounds
of our award-winning boutique hotel on the beautiful Island of Bryher, Isles
of Scilly.
Department: Grounds and maintenance
Salary: From 11.45
per hour
Hours: 45-50 per week
Contract Length: seasonal March-October 2024 (dates can be flexible)
Duties Include:
- Trimming hedges
- Pruning
- Mowing lawns
- Weeding flower beds, borders & paving areas
- All gravel and patio areas to be maintained to a high standard including the swimming pool and pitch and putt
- Assisting the maintenance manager with upkeep around the hotel
- Being on call to shuttle guests between the hotel and quays on the island
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Relevant gardening experience and qualifications
- Able to work on own initiative and enjoys a challenge
- Ability to develop and landscape small areas as required
- Ability to use and maintain petrol mower and strimmer (essential)
- Must have a clean valid driver’s license
- Good customer service skills are required as there may be some interaction with guests
