Tresco Guitar Retreat
Indulge your passion for the guitar on Tresco; the perfect relaxed, supportive and inspiring environment, with expert tuition and fun group playing sessions.
Thursday 14th - Monday 18th March 2024 |
£845 per participant |
Our Guitar Retreats have been crafted to give you the personal time you need to focus solely on your guitar playing, away from the usual interruptions and distractions of home.
Each day, you'll benefit from morning group teaching from 10 am - 12:45 pm, an afternoon group teaching session from 4 - 5 pm, and an after-dinner jam/open mic session. There will also be plenty of free time to play, roam the island, go to the spa, or take advantage of some one-to-one guitar tuition.
The teaching material suits all abilities, from relative beginners to intermediate and above. It will feature a wide range of material from Classic Pop/Folk/ Rock/Blues songs from the last few decades. It will cover fingerstyle patterns, strumming techniques, simple scales, useful theory, and many tips and tricks designed to take your playing to the next level. The teaching material is aimed primarily at acoustic instruments, but electric guitar players are also welcome to participate.
The retreat is designed to be fun first and inclusive without pressure or competition. You’ll go home with new songs and techniques to re-invigorate your practice and playing.
