The Cottage
The ground floor consists of an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, with hardwood floors throughout and sofas gathered around a log burner. The walls are adorned with established works of art, and floor-to-ceiling patio doors permit expansive views of the Tresco channel. A separate TV room with sofabed provides a cosy snug for children.
The first floor houses a seafront bedroom with ensuite and balcony, plus two further bedrooms sharing a spacious family bathroom. Bedrooms feature soft furnishings and upholstery in iridescent jewel-tones. Climb a further set of stairs to the master bedroom with balcony, set on its own floor.
The Location
Colossus was built on the site of a former World War One flying boat station. Truly beachfront, the neighbouring slipway is always waiting for idyllic high tide sea swims. The property is set just across from the Flying Boat Bistro, whose menu brims with delicious fresh seafood. On a grey day, take advantage of the nearby Tresco Island Spa – let the stress melt away as you slide into its indoor pool.

Our cottages are well-equipped with a comprehensive inventory, which includes kitchen appliances and equipment, bathrobes, hair dryers, and an outdoor BBQ with tools. Bathrooms come complete with 100 Acres shampoo, body wash and hand soap.
This property comes equipped with a dishwasher. There is no washing machine at the property, however laundry facilities are available centrally with a small cost payable per load.
