Built into the hillside overlooking the Ruin Beach Café, Rockpool is surrounded by flowers and is mere steps from Old Grimsby beach.
The heart of the cottage consists of an open plan kitchen, living and dining space enclosed between two walls of picture windows allowing light to cascade in. Watch morning sunrises from the lounge or cosy down with the log burner roaring during colder times of year.
The opposite wings of the property house a spacious master bedroom with ensuite, and a TV room, family bathroom and two further bedrooms. As well as three separate terraces linked to bedrooms and living space, a sunken, private garden at the back of the property provides outdoor dining space and a lawn.
The Ruin Beach Café is a literal stone’s throw away – take to the terrace for an indulgent cocktail-fuelled afternoon. For those more actively inclined, cross the road to the sailing school and hire kayaks or SUPs – spend the day exploring the nearby uninhabited islands and the surrounding turquoise shallows.
Stealing half an hour for yourself with an evening dip in the nearby indoor pool – blissful!
Enter via gate from road; steps down to garden; two separate doors to enter property, both with single step up. Open plan kitchen, lounge and dining space with outdoor terrace. Turn right from kitchen into master bedroom with seating area and outdoor terrace, ensuite with double shower & WC. Turn left from kitchen to corridor with TV room with sofabed, two separate bedrooms, and family bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
I looked across a neat lawn bordered by pink flowers to a swaying sea. Waves fizzled softly on boulders in the cove. The Times
