This cosy little bolthole makes a great base for a family escape. Close to island amenities and a stone’s throw from Flood Hatch beach, it will be a joy to return to after days out exploring.
Tucked away amongst echiums and crawling roses, the cottage entrance consists of a glass door and floor-to-ceiling window, flooding the living space with light. Hardwood floors and the open plan living space create a neutral, calming vibe. Towards the back of the property are a double bedroom, bunk room and family bathroom.
The view takes in the soothing scenes of Tresco’s Great Pool and the impressive treescape of the Abbey Drive. There’s an outdoor pool nearby, beckoning for morning dips, and Tresco Stores, the Island Office and the Bike Shop are just a few steps further. Flood Hatch Beach is minutes away – walk the causeway to tiny Plumb Island at low tide.
The abundance and variety of plantlife surrounding the terrace – vibrant and spectacular.
One step to front (patio) door. Ground floor: Two steps down to lounge / dining room with views over the Great Pool. Two steps up to open plan kitchen and bunkroom. Separate door leading to double bedroom and bathroom with shower and WC.
It’s somewhere else altogether – a completely independent entity with its own unique and precious culture. The Independent
