We are looking for a Maintenance/Handyman and General Assistant Couple to work at our busy 4 star, 3 rosette Hell Bay Hotel on Bryher, one of the five inhabited islands that make up the Isles of Scilly – an archipelago of islands around 30 miles from the Cornish coast.
An understanding of plumbing, carpentry and electrics, holding 16th edition would be advantageous. An experienced Maintenance Team are already employed on the neighbouring island of Tresco for any complex faults and breakdowns, which may require further assistance.
Must have a current UK Full Driving Licence.
Duties may include Housekeeping, Reception or other positions within the Hotel.
You will be living and working on Bryher, the smallest island in the Isles of Scilly archipelago. Bryher is a beautiful and rugged island with a close community. The island is quiet but has a thriving shop, community centre, gallery, pub, cafe and hotel, as well as other holiday accommodation.
Hell Bay Hotel is owned by Tresco Estate, which runs the neiughbouring island of Tresco. The island has been in the ownership of the Dorrien-Smith family since the 1800s and today Robert and Lucy Dorrien-Smith run the island as the Tresco Estate, incorporating Tresco Island as well as Hell Bay Hotel on the neighbouring island of Bryher. Hell Bay is the only business on Bryher which is part of Tresco Estate and the island residents are most proud of their independence.
