We first heard of the break through Watergate Bay - we'd been staying there for years, and in fact one of my daughters got married there.
My wife and I had never been to the Scilly Isles before but my daughter and grandchildren had taken a trip there in August 2019. The pictures they sent back were stunning, so when the Watergate / Tresco break came up we booked it immediately.
The whole trip was fantastic. We were really impressed with the organisation on arriving at St. Mary's airport - we weren't quite sure what to expect but it all went very smoothly. We enjoyed the transfer to the harbour, boat trip across, and the short trip across Tresco to our accommodation.
The accommodation was fabulous - we had great views and our breakfasts and dinners at the Ruin Beach Café were delicious.
Although everything mentioned so far was excellent, the standout for us was Tresco itself. Incredible beaches, views and walks. We went to the Abbey Garden and New Grimsby, all lovely. Everybody on the island was pleased to see us, all the staff were very friendly.
We immediately enquired about next year!
