A Beach Clean Fit For A Queen

Every year, the people and visitors of Scilly take part in a mass Spring Clean, keeping the islands beautiful. This year, the beach cleans are extra special, as they're part of a national campaign to 'Clean for the Queen'!

Clean for The Queen is a campaign to clear up Britain in time for Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in June 2016.

This year, the Tresco Beach Clean has been organised for Sunday 6th March to join this national campaign.

We'll meet at Smith Square at 10am and take to the beaches around the island to clear up any litter that has washed up over the winter and keep Tresco looking beautiful.

All volunteers are welcome, and there will be a pasty and soft drink for everyone who comes along to help.

Thanks to the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust, Isles of Scilly Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Islands' Partnership for getting these island-wide events underway.
