The tropical delights from the summer of 2018 have arrived in this, our Easter show. Rob Braybrooks found his inspiration in the mirror seas which had become the norm, Geoffrey Bickley delighted in the joy of leaping mackerel, and Lizzie Black took her lead from the lush Abbey Garden. John Bampfield continued his exploration of where land meets the sea, interjecting notes of vibrancy within both. Teresa Pemberton, always a colourist, expanded her repertoire to include still life against the landscape, allowing her to run amok with her pigments to great effect. Surpassing himself this year is Tom Holland with a veritable rainbow of flora dancing below sorbet skies. The season has barely begun and we are awash with creativity. Enjoy!
