Easter Activities on Tresco
If you're joining us for Easter there's plenty to do on Tresco to keep the whole family entertained...
Easter is a wonderful time on Tresco, with the island awakening from its winter slumber, the days lengthening and a host of activities for young and old to celebrate this special time of year.
Children's Pizza Making Workshops
Want a pizza the action? Take your children along to the Ruin Beach Cafe and get hands on with a pizza making masterclass.
Our chefs will show the children how to create their very own delicious pizza which will then be cooked in the wood-fired oven to eat in or take away.
Children must be accompanied by an adult, please.
Booking essential - call the Island Office on +44 (0)1720 422849 | Wednesday 6th & Thursday 7th April from 5pm | £8 per child

The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust are providing a free guided walk to encourage the whole family to get out and enjoy the incredible and varied wildlife and scenery Tresco has to offer.
The walk starts outside the Ruin Beach Cafe at 10.00am and will last about 2 hours. Sensible footwear is strongly advised and binoculars will be useful if you have them.
The walk is free (although donations to the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust will be welcome).
Walks will take place on 5th April.
Low Tide Experience
On Friday 8th April, the Low Tide Experience will take place mid-channel between Tresco and Bryher.
There will be a feast of Firepit-cooked Mussels with homemade crusty bread, followed by a selection of cakes. To celebrate such a rare event there will also be a Prosecco Bar.
After enjoying the feast, the Scillonian Fishermen from Island Fish will teach you to dig for Razor Clams, a local delicacy. You will also be able to watch the fishermen 'Spratting' - catching the tiny, silvery fish more commonly known as Whitebait. Island Fish will also have a stocked seafood popup stall, selling a selection of local shellfish and wet fish, as well as Crab Quiche and other tasty treats.
There will be acoustic music and also chance to try your hand at Croquet and Boules.
Please note: All payment at the event is cash only.

Low Tide Walks
The islands of Tresco and Bryher may be very close neighbours - the channel between them is just 250 yards or so at the narrowest point - but nevertheless they enjoy very separate identities.
However, every so often extreme Spring Tides mean the watery barrier between the two islands falls away for a few precious hours, giving a unique opportunity to walk across and sample the delights of another island, accompanied by the smug feeling of having somehow beaten the elements.
Below are the dates, times and heights of low tides when it should be possible to walk between Tresco and Bryher, but always check on the day with Tresco Boat Services (01720 423373) or the Island Office (01720 422849), as the information below is a prediction and tides can be altered by atmospheric pressure, wind and weather.
Wednesday 6th (11:00 - 0.5m)
Thursday 7th (11:46 - 0.3m)
Friday 8th (12:31 - 0.1m)
Saturday 9th (13:15 - 0.2m)
Sunday 10th (13:59 - 0.4m)
