Tresco is a beautiful, family-owned island in the Isles of Scilly, owned and cared for by the Dorrien-Smith family.
Boasting unspoilt sandy beaches, clear azure waters, exotic gardens and world class accommodation, Tresco is an utterly unique island escape; a safe, peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of modern life with a small and welcoming community.
Our island accommodation ranges from stunning beachfront cottages to our cosy island Inn, whilst award-winning eateries offer the best of produce from land and sea around the islands.
Get together with family and friends in a luxurious Sea Garden Cottage sleeping up to ten people with far reaching views across to uninhabited islands and the Round Island Lighthouse, or cosy down in one of our traditional granite cottages dotted across the island.
With a rich and varied landscape, the island enjoys everything from dramatic rocky outcrops to secluded white sand beaches and, of course, the world famous Tresco Abbey Garden, a glorious exception where plants from the world’s Mediterranean climate zones grow outdoors, just 30 miles from the coast of Cornwall.
Part of Tresco's beauty is its location - just 30 miles from the Cornish coast, yet a world apart. You can reach Tresco by fixed wing plane from Devon or Cornwall, by boat from Penzance, and from spring 2020 we're reintroducing helicopter flights direct to the island from Penzance Heliport.
For those looking for activities and things to do, there's a whole island to explore... Unwind in the Island Spa, explore a Civil War era castle, indulge in a spot of retail therapy in the Gallery, discover the island on two wheels with bike hire, or take to the waves at the Sailing School.
