Tresco Heliport
If arriving on Tresco by air, Tresco Heliport provides landing facilities for private and charter helicopters by prior arrangement, as well as being the gateway to the island for the scheduled service from Penzance Helicopters.

Landing for private pilots and charter helicopters is strictly by prior arrangement with the Heliport Manager by email, or by calling 01720 424109.
Tresco Heliport is a grass airfield, 360 metres long and 6 metres ASL. However, for any fixed wing aircraft wanting to visit, please be advised that the effective distance is only 150m East of the road that bisects the airstrip and 100m West of the road. Generally, we would advise a weight limit of 500kg or aircraft with STOL capability.
JetA1 fuel is available at Tresco Heliport, by prior arrangement. AVGAS is available at Land's End Airport.
Tresco Heliport is usually open from 0800 - 1700 Monday to Saturday, from 1st March until 31st October. Our winter hours are available on the AIP. Additional hours can be arranged on request.
From the heliport, onward transport can be arranged to Tresco accommodation or the island's restaurants, Abbey Garden and other facilities. Boat transfers to other islands can also be arranged through Tresco Boats.
Drones on Tresco
All drone operations within the Tresco Heliport Flight Restriction Zone, or anywhere on Tresco Island, require prior permission from Tresco Heliport, St Mary’s Airport Air Traffic Control, and Tresco Island Limited.
The launching, landing, or operation of drones (UAS) anywhere on Tresco Island by private individuals is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from Tresco Island Limited. This requirement is separate from, and in addition to, any permissions required from Tresco Heliport and/or St Mary’s Airport Air Traffic Control.
Permission for private recreational drone use will not normally be granted. Commercial requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Unauthorised drone activity may be reported to the relevant authorities.
