It was a fantastic week, the end of September and I was fortunate enough to stay with Maggie O'Brien in the Tower Flat. With great weather, I spent nearly all week in shorts hurtling about on the bike in search of great view points and generally soaking it all up. The feeling was definitely autumnal with a profusion of rusty orange coloured ferns that often dazzled against the bright blue Scillonian sea. This is one aspect that I have tried to portray along with the great sense of space and openness of the large bays and swathes of sea between the islands.
