I came to Tresco for a couple of days at the end of March. The weather could not have been better or more contrasting. One day was full of menacing black clouds (but no rain), pierced by shafts of sunlight. Looking out from Samson Hill Bryher towards Samson and on, the sea dark pewter with patches of dazzling white, so dramatic. The next day was completely different; quiet, sunny and warm. First thing in the morning I walked up Vane Hill, taking in views from Old Grimsby round to the Great Pool then past Abbey Farm and down to New Grimsby, enough information for the rest of my show. Happy days.
