A walk to Piper’s Hole encompassed everything I wanted to express about this year’s trip to Tresco; vertical clouds tumbling into the horizon, the reds and browns of the brackens, grasses and mosses, the spectacle of the sea delivering itself to the rocks and the salty mist which follows and the astonishing blues and greens of the water which change with the sky.
