Amanda Hoskin
Painting this collection has been a real treat for me. It is always wonderful to return to my sketches where the memories of happy times painting on the Scillies come flooding back. Each visit is different from glorious summer days with bright blue seas and white sands to wintery November scenes, where the evenings draw in early with their dramatic skies as the sun disappears down behind the islands. I think everyone should visit the Scillies at least once, but it is almost impossible to resist returning again and again.
