As I work away in my studio, applying paint to my neatly stretched watercolour paper, adding more here, lifting out there, blending and spattering, I am constantly trying to capture the beauty of Scilly, with its translucent seas and deserted beaches. Not knowing how it may turn out is the nature of watercolour, as with one misplaced brush stroke, it could be spoilt in an instant. For each painting has been on a journey with me until I am finally satisfied with the image before me. I hope you like this new collection. |
