We were delighted to host for the first time in 2007 Yoga breaks at The Island Hotel. We were equally delighted to have Lucy Aldridge as our resident instructor. We will be doing more in 2010.
Lucy qualified as an Iyengar Yoga teacher in 1997 and has been teaching ever since. Lucy feels that she has “the best job in the world”. As an Iyengar teacher she has learnt asana (yoga postures) as an art and shares this with her students. “Yoga has helped me deal with many life changes and challenges. Coming to my mat each day brings me back to my centre and who I really am.” Lucy is one of the youngest qualified Junior Intermediate level Yoga teachers in the U.K. and teaches classes both here and abroad.
Her workshops are designed towards the understanding of asana and developing the confidence to maintain an evolving self-practice. “ Many people have said that they would like to practice at home, but they do not know what to do. My workshops will help them learn.” Iyengar Yoga focuses on alignment, and correct movement into and out of poses. Learning correct posture will allow tension to melt away, recharging and refreshing your body whilst relaxing your mind.

Island Hotel 5 nights starting 21st May, and 23rd September
Rates start from £700 per person flying from Penzance to Tresco. Please contact the Island Hotel for alternative departure venues and rates.
The short breaks at the Island Hotel on Tresco are suitable for all levels, from beginner to Intermediate. On arrival you will meet Lucy and other members of the group. The group will be a maximum of 10 allowing tuition to remain personal.
All rates are per person based on two sharing double or twin accommodation and includes cost of return travel*, transfer on arrival and departure, dinner bed and breakfast daily, welcome reception, services of yoga instructor, yoga mat, Tresco Abbey Garden entrance, holiday insurance & VAT @ 17.5%. Rates for single occupancy and non-participating partners available on request.
* please note that all flights are booked and paid for on your behalf. The requested deposit will cover payment for this and the insurance premium and the balance will be credited to your account.
