The flight from Land’s End to St Mary’s takes just 15 minutes. Land’s End airport is located close to the village of St Just, which is about eight miles from Penzance, and is open all year round. In 2013, it underwent a £1 million refurbishment and offers a comfortable and convenient gateway to the Isles of Scilly. There is ample parking at the airport. For those looking to travel to Land’s End by train, there is a frequent First Great Western service between London and Penzance, including an overnight sleeper. Travel time is approximately five and a half hours. A Skybus shuttle bus will pick you up from outside Penzance railway station to take you to the airport. The picturesque flight (the plane hugs the north coast all way down to Land’s End) from Newquay to St Mary’s takes approximately 30 minutes. Newquay Airport is located on the North Cornwall coast, close to Watergate Bay and St Mawgan village, and is open all year round. The airport is situated about five miles outside Newquay town centre. A taxi to the town costs about £15. There is also a bus service linking the airport and town centre. Please note that a £5 Airport Development Fee is payable by all adults departing from Newquay airport. Skybus operate a regular service between Exeter and St Mary’s from March through to November. The flight time is approximately 60 minutes. Exeter International Airport is situated five miles from Exeter city centre and five minutes from the M5 motorway. Exeter Airport is about 3 ½ hours (200 miles) from central London by road and Exeter St David’s Station is 2-3 hours from London Paddington by rail. There is a bus service that links Exeter St David’s Station and Exeter city centre with the airport.
Exeter Airport is not only a great hub for international connections but also has an extensive UK destination list including Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Guernsey, Jersey, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and Norwich. The airport has four on-site car parks which can be pre-booked online. Exeter Airport Taxis operate from the Arrivals building.
