Colour changing mood lighting adds a certain sense of wellbeing and creates some wonderful evening tones.

Sauna, Steam Room & Jacuzzi

As soon as you step into your steam room or sauna, the warmth opens the pores of the skin, creating a flow of perspiration lifting out the grime of everyday life. Your skin is cleansed and toned leaving it feeling soft, supple and healthy!

The Sauna

The sauna operates at a temperature of around 80°. As with all of the Spa Facilities before entering the Sauna please use the shower located in the Spa area.  Depending on your sauna experience and personal preference, the time you spend in the sauna will vary.

Some may prefer staying for just a few minutes before exiting the sauna for a break, whereas others will stay for the maximum time - we recommend 15 minutes, before exiting the sauna. Upon exiting, many users will take a cool shower. Whilst water can be splashed onto the hot coals to create steam temporarily increasing the temperature in the sauna, the aim of the sauna is to provide a dry heat

The  Steam Room

In contrast to the Sauna, the Steam room provides a 'wet heat' of near 100% humidity at around 38°C. The aim of a Steam Room, as with a Sauna, is not only to provide relaxation but to create a state of hyperthermia, or heat stress detoxification.

This in turn promotes the removal of fat-stored toxins, the removal of calcium deposits from blood vessels and the break down of scar tissue from the vessel walls. As with the Sauna, we recommend a maximum usage time of 15 mins, followed by a cool shower .

The Jacuzzi

The beneficial effects of spa bathing have been known for many years and those who have had the pleasure of using the Jacuzzi have discovered a rejuvenating and revitalising experience.

Luxuriating in warm, bubbling water is an unrivalled way of unwinding and chasing away the stresses of daily life. Medical research has shown that various physiological changes are triggered by the temperature of the water and by the effects of weightlessness experienced in the spa.
